1983: Style is form versus function as honorously said by SAN. Pure machinists only follows function. Form, as they say, follows function. As we achieve (full and harmonic) control of function, we automatically gain the ideal form for some artifact. In the homo sapiens_2 species societies, they must control both form and function in order to create something meaningfull (in terms of usability and trust).
Super ego machinists only follows super ego functions. Human form, as they say, follows super ego - indeed, they achieved the next stage of collective conscience (recognized by Jung) - Homo ratio globalis.
